The Writing Show is a radio show and podcast hosted by Paula B. It was inspired by literary agent Kristen Nelson who does a 2-page critique on a pitch session. The host reads an anonymous submission of a chapter the author is writing, and critiques it on air. This is an excellent tool for writers who are looking for objective input on their work. ANy author can make a submission (there are guidelines posted) and wait to see if their work is chosen to be critiqued on air. "Slush pile" refers to the tall, teetering stack of unsolicited manuscripts sent to agents to read and possibly represent.
